Pitta Dosha: The Energy of Summer
Preparing for Summer: Cooling and Grounding
Pitta is the energy of transformation in Ayurveda and the season is summer. How do you feel during this time of year when the heat of the sun is very penetrating and sharp? Do you feel agitated? Do you experience any internal heat like heat rash or short temper? Ayurveda can help you find balance during this time of the year by incorporating its practices as well as mindfulness and yoga to support you during this season.

Vata Dosha Workshop
The Energy of Fall
October 20th
Preparing for Fall: Stabilizing and Warming
Vata is one of the mind/body types of Ayurveda. It is the energy of late fall and winter when its qualities are very present in our bodies and minds. It is the time of year when everyone is back from vacation, back to school and the buzz of the season has begun. Do you ever feel overwhelmed during this time? Maybe your digestion is feeling a bit slow? Come discover how you can reduce this feeling of anxiety by using grounding and warming practices of mindfulness, yoga and ayurveda and support your body and mind.
Mindfulness for Adolescents
How many times do you think your teen has heard the phrase “pay attention?”
Has anyone ever taught them how to pay attention?
Mindfulness is the practice of concentrating your attention on one thing with the purpose of cultivating inner kindness and curiosity.
This series will reveal what mindfulness really is and how to bring more attention to your body, breath, emotions and environment.
Each session has its own set of topics, guided practices, and a student workbook that your teen will take with them as a reminder of what they reveal about themselves.
This series is designed to help your teen reduce stress, relieve anxiety, build self-awareness and develop the skills required to regulate their emotional worlds.
Session 1 begins in September
Session 2 begins in October
Hope to meet you there.

Ayurveda Restorative Winter Retreat
The winter solstice teaches us to embrace the darkness. Ayurveda teaches us to listen to our bodies and find balance in the natural rhythms of the environment. Restorative yoga teaches us how to down regulate our nervous system with stillness, quiet, darkness and warmth. During this sacred turning point of the year we are bringing all of this together to support ourselves by finding inner stillness and inward reflection.
